Gelsemium sempervirens (Jasmine) is a plant kingdom remedy commonly known as Yellow Jasmine or Woodbine. It is a flowering plant native to Tropical America.

It belongs to the family Loganiaceae, the same family from which Ignatia and Nux vomica belongs. The flowers of Gelsemium are yellow sometimes orange and they are borne in clusters.

In ancient times it is used as a folk remedy to treat many health conditions and used as a substitute for Opium as narcotics. It came into the homeopathic existence after the proving done by Dr. W. E. Payne.

The medicine is by the tincture of the bark of the root. Gelsemium is a deep-acting medicine and is suggested to treat a variety of disease conditions.
